Hi, it’s Jack from AustinAppliancePros. Today we’re going to show you how to put a front drawer glide on your range. Really easy job; could use a flat blade screwdriver.
Let me show you how it’s done. To replace the front drawer glides simply need to pull the drawer out until the stops engage, and lift up on it, then pull it out the rest of the way. For replacing the front glide on the drawer we need to set this on a suitable workspace to repair. For replacing the front glide on the unit itself this gives us good access from here.
Now that we have the complete drawer sitting on a stable work surface, we have to release the locking tab inside the drawer that holds that glide in place. May be able to do that with your fingers, if not a flat blade screwdriver simply lift up on it, and rotate through the opening with the little locking tab at the back here. Take our new glide, slide the hook through the hole and snap it into place. To remove the old drawer glide, take a flat blade screw driver and slide it in underneath the front of it, and pry out hard until you snap the locking tab off the back, rotating out of the opening. See you’ve broken the tab off the back, the new one has a locking tab on it, just want to simply insert that hook back into the hole , press it into place, and the locking tab will hook that on; snap it into place.
Now we’re ready to reinstall the drawer. To reinstall the drawer properly, we need to set the top tracks atop these front glides first, and then slide it in, lift it up to clear the stops, and then just pull up on it to make sure we properly engaged the rear drawer glides. That’s just how easy it is to put a drawer glide on your range; thanks for watching, and good luck with your repair.
